10.31.10 We will end Ovtober in with a treatytrick:
I wrote this verse when I woke up today.
It isn't in my usual up and goofy style.
Something's been eating at me.
"Thanks for the candy! No more?
A hobo? Well, no, I'm just poor."
A trick or a treat
Do not seem very sweet
When we teach them to beg door to door.
TRIGGER TREATERS
I ate the thugs, or the goodies? Hmm. :/
Avoid giving veggies; they hate 'em,
Or clothes, if your mother had made 'em.
When thugs wearing hoodies
Came by for some goodies,
I had to confess that I ate 'em.
10.27.10 Weather is full of memories- the smell of wet leaves and fireplace smoke evoke, involuntarily, whole vistas from the past. Below is last night's moon with black storm clouds scuttling.
California dreaming from ol' O:
LOVE AND DEATH
Immortality? No one's that clever.
I've prayed for that nowhere and never.
From what I can see,
It seems clear to me,
At least one of the two is forever.
10.26.10 SD 5:
All things change continuously and at some point even inanimate objects outlive their usefulness or wear away to nothingness, to their very atoms which, for our Simple Death project, is akin to death. Simple Death equals simple change.
SD 3:
As humans we want clear definitions of death, particularly with human death, but then muddy it up with concepts of an immortal soul. Animals we consider finite but for people, at least a part (the 'soul') of some ('saved', or fill in the criteria from a belief system) lives forever. Simple Death becomes more and more complex.
SD 4
10.25.10 The birth day, 40 years ago, of one Zeepo. That's "over the hill" I was told, decades ago, when I'd completed 40 turns around old sol. Your a young pup from my new perspective. As they say, Happy Birthday!
10.24.10 Nice day in the pines.
10.23.10 Some Ovctober :
My only good friend, Walter Xavier,
Gave a try at becoming my savior.
"The facts, brother Walt,
Are my acts aren't my fault--
I'm a victim of my bad behavior.
How many Tables left? (no.141)
The Simple Death project will be great. Part of the Tables series:

Simple Death in the pines, SD 1:
10.20.10 This October has 5 Fridays, 5 Saturdays and 5 Sundays, all in 1 month. It happens once in 823 years. Seemed like a least half of the month was Monday anyway.
10.19.10 Taking care of Cody while Mary "plants" a relative down it Texas.
10.18.10 Lost five days somewhere.
All the state flowers in one place:
10.13.10 Slowly some color in the leaves has begun to change the look of the pines.
10.12.10 Ove suggested Dan (Zeepo) should call his new one-man (Dan's doing all the instruments) band Led Zeepo. We like that.
Speaking of Ove:
That frightening photo of Sean inspired this one, which isn't quite finished.
Refusing a decaf with creamer,
I drank seven cups from a steamer,
And can't shut my eyes.
It's the worst of all highs
When one lies as alert as a lemur.
10.11.10 Zeepo is making some intense new, shred metal.

10.8.10 Groping and ................•
10.6.10 Sean sent this self-portrait:
10.1.10 The O in October stands for our man in California;
Collectors and critics debated.
Just how was his artwork created?
No secrets were shattered;
Results were what mattered.
Appreciate. He'd be elated.
Epistemological woe:
The limit--how far can we go?
Said Joe, "As of yet,
There is no one I've met
Who's aware of how much we don't know."
I thought I'd stop into a store,
But before I could get through the door,
Was ambushed for change
By a man with the mange.
At the exit, he asked me for more.
In the spirit of Archie Bunker:
Yes, give us your wretched and poor,
Huddled masses of refuse galore,
Your homeless, your scum,
Your useless and dumb,
To enter this great golden door.
(The first door on the left.)
You don't want to anger a writer.
If you bug a professional fighter,
It's placing a bet
On a game of roulette,
And a dimwit's decisions are brighter.

Hey, Big C. , great new painting " Simplicity " the color speaks you are alive and well. I'm working on a self portrait . I like to work from memory or imagination when I'm doing portraits because I can't find any " sitters " . Check out a filmmaker I got to know on Vimeo . http://fredlepee.net . Some wild stuff from him , deep too .
Hey Peter, do you have some small stuff you could enter? $150. to be a member and $25. to apply or something- shitty website.

If your dog relieving himself could be found from space, you'd think that between Google Earth and night vision drones, a Bigfoot or two would be detected.
