11.27.09 The day after Thamkgiving the Pilgrims started killing the Indians.
11.26.09 Creepy holiday. Ann cooking:
11.24.09 Michaelsen today:
Three of mine:
So neatly in simplified niches,
Reminiscent of burnings of "witches,"
Good and bad, black and white,
What a shame for the bright
Who've abandoned conceptual riches.
A man whom we called "Uncle Roger"
Was a good source of wisdom, that codger.
"Inform them by force
And you might face remorse.
Tell the truth, but be one artful dodger."
LOVE AND DEATH
Immortality? No one's that clever.
I've prayed for that nowhere and never.
From what I can see,
It seems quite clear to me,
At least one of the two is forever.
11.23.09 Still somewhat sanguine despite sloppy s sounds.
11.22.09 People fleeing the weird pines, Rt. 72 today:
Zeepo has a new bass. Recording room is nearly done. We need to make a Toopine theme song.
Thanks for all the support folks. Love the flowers John and Paula, dug into the chicken potpie Mary, nice to see you Stacy, Dan and Sean, the drawings made me happy Metro and Olive. I'm as happy as your little mouse Olive.
11.21.09
A stroke of genius from Ove:
PARAPHRASED ADAGES
Remember, still waters run deep.
Don't forget to first look when you leap.
Sweet vengeance is mine.
To forgive is divine.
For the logical, read this and weep.
11.20.09 No ciggies!
11.19.09 A new day in a new body. Like my friend the boxer Teddy Mann used to say when asked, "Are you alright?"- "No, I'm half left." Bad days photo below while in prison. Goodwin fight here.
11.18.09 "The slings and arrows of outrageous fortune"-caught an arrow in the ol' gulliver.
"the thousand natural shocks that flesh is heir to"-a thousand and one methinks.
"the whips and scorns of time" -we agree with Hamlet
11.15.09 This is why we glow in Whiting:
And these help us glow too (but look at our pretty lawns!!):
11.14.09 Have a hundred Tables.
O.
An anagram I came up with two decades ago:
"OSCAR WILDE = I lace words."
11.13.09 Thought I was thinking.
11.12.09 Still thinking, I think. Mr. Michaelsen is always tinkin':
We used to associate "heiress"
With some class, not the one known as Paris.
We're tipping that balance,
Consumed by no-talents.
We need the return of Chuck Barris.
11.5.09 Goodbye JackSpelman. See you in the dust someday.
We had some very serious adventures and your indomitable spirit and good humor were always a comfort.
11.4.09 C and M from even deeper in the pines -at the very edge of complete nothingness for miles and miles. This is the way people dress there. Even the Jersey Devil is afraid to visit.
11.8.09 Someone poisoned all five familes of grey squirrels that live in the white pines out back. Whiting has become a symbol of all the evil man does to nature. Tons and tons of chemicals go onto the too green lawns and move straight through the sandy soil into the aquifer and no one cares because they buy their water. They throw garbage from cars without any sense of guilt. It has become the norm now to see endless streams of it along the back roads even though they have chaingang prisoners picking it up several times a year. Their children will curse them for the sterile desert they will inherit. Nature deals with over population in all species the same way and humankind will be no exception. Where are the churches in this most important of issues? They believe we are not animals and not subject to the usual rules and it's the 'end of times' anyway so who cares. What a grotesque monster we have become.
11.7.09 You know the O:
A POSTAL TIP
Shippers are hard to out-fox,
And books are as heavy as rocks.
Expensive to mail?
Try cheating the scale.
Put helium inside the box.
11.6.09 Freeze tonight so these are the last flowers of the season:
If one lives long enough he will bury everyone he loves or has ever loved. Dying young has it's advantages. Jack was a friend for 45 years. Can you see me down here Jack?
11.5.09 Goodbye JackSpelman. See you in the dust someday.

11.4.09 C and M from even deeper in the pines -at the very edge of complete nothingness for miles and miles. This is the way people dress there. Even the Jersey Devil is afraid to visit.
11.3.09 Table again:
Our rockin';
Hank needed a rewrite.
Today I passed out on the street,
And my head fell on your feet.
I can't help it if I'm still hungover you.
Another man walked in my place,
And I rearranged his face.
I can't help it if I'm still in love with you.

Okay, they're not all gems.
Pierre Bonnard: The Late Interiors at the Met. Watch the great video explaining his paintings.
11.2.09 Simple day.
11.1.09 Grey November 'Corot' sky today in Jersey.

In china a waitress got a deer to drink beer, that deer was drinking two beers a day when available but it would also drink wine.
Three more students have recently cone to Beechwood, in a couple weeks Beechwood will facilitate transportation to take me and a new PT girl to the university for the presentation.
No, you see, in the beginning it was just weeds - all plants were just weeds, corn, wheat, all weeds, then care, selection and cultivation turned them into crops etc. So, yes you can cultivate some nice weeds.
