12.11.09 11ยบ wind chill but baking has the house warm.
Wonder if Hak and Jack hang out together in the ether.
12.9.09 Annmarie's truck on the Google Earth site.
12.8.09 Another from the Tables series:
Another from the O. V. series:
One evening preceding the twilight,
A rainbow arc glowed in my sky light.
I followed the bend
To that long rainbow's end
And found one tiny pot of pure pyrite.
The shiniest man that I've seen
Was a guy with a bright yellow sheen.
Pure gold helps arthritis.
A handshake with Midas
Had turned my right palm a pale green.
Their calling for a little snow tonight. That would be nice. The first snow is always a good sign. Change.
12.4.09 Calling the Blog the Daily Blab now after Hak Vogrin's painting. Here is a piece from the piece it refers too.
First speech therapy- useless nonsense. I really sound like I live in a retirement village. All they talk about is illnesses. Screw it- going Indian in the pines. Wildman style.
12.3.09 A little O for Yo:
SILENT INVISIBILITY
My microphone made no detection.
A shadow, but not a reflection.
Silent, unseen,
Like a film with no screen
Missing audio, cast, and direction.
skkjfane.kr.vnmnf,c lrklk klerna f;ewjhhhhhhgru; is all I have to say today. Well, most days lately.
12.2.09 The little Pine People running around in the barrens.
I hope Mike had better luck than I had in Austin. Being from California, gray-haired, and 47 in 2002 without family or a friend in the area had its disadvantages. I was slender when I arrived, then lost 40 lbs. in a hurry.
Someone there asked me if I was a Yankee or a rebel. I told him that I was post-Civil War, and that I forgot the Alamo.
Great? Maybe in the ancient Roman sense of the word. But the legions are far flung and mired down, the senate is corrupt, the people are fat, indolent and lacking in virtue, and the bankers drunk with greed. This is the twilight of empire.
