You have made a small masterpiece Russ. Lots of practice with your

protagonist (the sweet Mr.Foster) shows, and a filtered essence, a kind and

curious portrait emerged. Sometimes, you paint him with pixels as sincerely

as any painter I've known. Moments of perfection, thrilling and complete

in their beauty, honesty without pretense. The handling of the imagery

could hardly be better with your effects painting perfectly the atmosphere.

Tore Ofteness wrote: I fear that only the lucky will have so much as grass huts to live in, though I hope the calamity waits until I'm dead to happen. Science Friday is aired in the evening here, on KUOW, so I rarely hear it. While religious loonies are arguing over the arrangement of the deck chairs on the Titanic, we are headed for a metaphorical iceberg (which is Norse for Ice Mountain, by the way). We as a world are living way beyond the capacity of the planet to support us. One day the oil will be scarce and too expensive for most uses that are common today. A serious natural catastrophe, such as an earthquake along the Pacific Coast could spell economic ruin for the country. Meanwhile, we continue along devouring our little blue planet until it turns brown. Then all the survivors can say to one another, no matter what their religious beliefs, "I told you so!" Until then, "let's keep on dancing, let's break out the booze and have a ball!" Tore

I just listened to NPR's "Science Friday," featuring Dr. Oliver Sacks, discussing Music and the Brain. I was disappointed in such a short interview. If you heard it, you probably caught the prorgam that followed where a professor mentioned that students are losing interst in science. This was the first year that a New York museum of evoltion couldn't find a sponsor. Politics. We're paying the price for this and will soon have to relocate from our high status Presidential Suites of tall buldings to grass huts.

You know, we just might have a case for impeachment. The head White House occupant is committing a recognized offense by tapping the wires of innocent citizens, among other things. The guy thinks he's King George, rather than "Mister Bush." A problem is that if he resigns after impeachment, we'd have President Cheney, who might *also* be indicted. I figured by midway through his second term, he'd be nailed, but I wouldn't count on his losing office because there are too many in charge rolling loaded dice. Ove

Dear Jean: What a fascinating film! Surreal and mind-blowing! Hak has done something very exciting with his montage of images and sounds. I see that you were cast as the other lead! Some questions...what program did Hak use create this...Final Cut Pro? Who was standing on his/her head? Where did you find the music to accompany the incredible images? I see that it is billed as the top pic of a time period and that is impressive. You both have so many talents. Thanks for sending this on. Fondly, Phyllis
